Friday Faves 60 - Vintage Dolls

I think most women remember their first dolls with great fondness. I had a small but proud number of dolls 'back in the day' that are now considered vintage. I know! How did that happen, right?

Ah, that nasty little thing called 'the passage of time.'

Today in Friday Faves we are going to take a few moments to go through our old cedar chests, closets and attics to discover dolls that we remember and dolls that were well before our time.

So, for all you doll collectors out there, this Friday Faves is for you, darlins!

And, to poke a little fun at our doll-lovin' selves, here's a little number called: Turbo Heather!

Yes, I had a Mrs. Beasley doll when I was growing up. Yes. Yes, I'm that old. lol This doll is in very good condition and needs only a little cleaning and special care to get her into collectible condition.

One of my friends had a room filled with these lovely old dolls. Her mother gave me one, and I still have it to this day. And one of the awesome things about Bradley dolls is their posable fingers! In my personal opinion, with her 'Made in Korea' tag she is, most likely, a true Bradley doll.

Vintage Doll Shop 3
Shop name: Juliano's Corner

Again, that friend of mine and her Holly Hobby dolls and sheets were just too dreamy! These came out around the time of The Little House On the Prairie phenomenon, and this particular Holly Hobby looks to be in excellent condition. A great collectible! And she's even 35% off!

And where would any doll collection be without a truly vintage piece such as this next selection, a large German china doll. Wow! Or as the Germans say: Toll!

I love the shop name! Reminds me of The Moody Blues.

That's it for this week's Friday Faves. I hope you found something that you just cannot do without. If not, keep looking! You're sure to find just about anything you could want over at Etsy.com.

Next week we're going to do a little figurine shopping. Well, we can't have our shelves completely naked, can we? What would we do without our favorite porcelain dust collectors?

Until then, have a great weekend everyone and take care out there!
