Friday Faves 61 - Figurines

I think figurines have been around since Mama Caveman said to Daddy Caveman -- "It's my birthday! You never get me anything!" Whereupon Mr. Caveman commenced to carve that deer antler that was laying in a corner of their cave into a beautiful fertility symbol just for his Sweet Cave Mama.

O, yeah! She rocked his world that night, I'm sure.

Then there was the night of the big caveman jam session, but that's another story:

Now, let's go shopping!

Figurine Shop 1
Shop name: By Kat Designs

A childhood friend's mother collected these and I always thought they were very sweet. This one is in great condition!

Figurine Shop 2
Shop name: R Lovely

Same childhood friend's stepmother collected Capodimonte. She had so many lovely pieces, but this is the first time that I remember seeing a lamp version. Splendid!

Figurine Shop 3
Shop name: Maid of Clay

And for all of you narwhal fanatics out there (and I know you're out there), we have this clever figurine. I think it's incredibly cute! Maid of Clay has lots of really cool stuff!

Figurine Shop 4
Shop name: Claylicious

I love owls. I know I'm not alone. Here's an owl figurine that sends just the right message. Aww!!!

Figurine Shop 5
Shop name: ememem

Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh, my! I love bears too, don't you?

Yes, yes I purposely left out cat figurines, because there is an over abundance of them at Etsy, so you will have no trouble finding just what you want. Unfortunately, my favorite cat figurine maker 'Not Just Cats' is on vacation right now or else you would have had more cat figurines than you could possibly handle. These are impossibly cute and I love them. How's that for an endorsement? lol

I'm not sure what Friday Faves will have in store for you next week, so, stay tuned and prepare to be surprised.

Until then, have a great weekend everyone and take care out there!

There's no room left in my place for any more dust catchers : ) Lovely picks, but that video is so wrong... mothers have always sung their kids to sleep.

: )

I want a nice curio cabinet to house mine, because I hate dusting all of the darn things. lol I completely agree about mothers having always sung their kids to sleep, though I thought the video might be something cute to go along with the 'caveman' reference I used in the intro to this week's Friday Faves. It could also serve as a sort of preview to The Beatles Music Monday theme coming up this Monday -- got a little Ringo Starr action going on there in the video. lol ;-)
