Friday Faves 69 - Drums

Drums are likely the first instrument that man created. Maybe someone noticed that hide stretched across tent poles made an interesting sound or it could have been a hollow log that eventually became a way to communicate over long distances to a nearby tribe or group of warriors. But whenever and however man (or woman) discovered drums and drumming, we've been busily drumming away ever since.

Of course, to start things off we're going to listen to one of my favorite drummers, the late John Bonham of Led Zeppelin fame, in one of his drum solos known as Bonzo's Montreux:

Love the drum carder! My sister just got the one my Dad made for her operational again, it needed a new belt. And I laughed, seeing the one on your list. Truly unexpected.

lol I thought it might take you by surprise in a pleasant way. That's so neat that your Dad made one for your sister, and I'm glad she was able to get it up and running again.
