Friday Faves 80 - The Holidays 3

As each day passes we come closer and closer to so many great holidays that are concentrated during a time of year when I think we could all use a little cheering up. Don't get me wrong, I love a grey day as much as I love a sunny one. But the colder weather can feel a bit bleak sometimes, so there's nothing like a good celebration to bring out the glow in one's cheeks.

With Thanksgiving passed we now have Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza, and New Year's to look forward to. Forgive me if I didn't mention every holiday that may be coming up and that you might be looking forward to, such as Canada's (and other Commonwealth nations') Boxing Day. I can't help but love a holiday dedicated to boxes.... I hope you know I'm teasing. ;-)

So, to set the mood for so many holidays we'll start with a holiday song sung by Phoebe of the sit-com Friends:

Now, let's go shopping!

The Holidays Shop
Shop name: Handmade Israel

I have such a fascination with Menorahs and this one is so unique and amazing in its design, combining both traditional with modern, that it would make a wonderful gift for newlyweds.

The Holidays Shop
Shop name: PoconoGlass07

This gorgeous clear iridescent water textured glass star would be perfect hung above your tree!

The Holidays Shop
Shop name: Poppets by Gili

This Swedish Dalecarlian style pig would be a great Yule ornament or use it on a Christmas wreath or tree. It's a very versatile pig! And very cute, too!

Shop name: Rubipotamus

These Christmas Tree earrings are just too cute to pass up!

Be sure to stop back by on Monday when I'll share music by the lovely Thea Gilmore and Tuesday we'll be learning even more about how to save money the DIY way.

Until then, have a great weekend everyone and take care out there!
