With Earth Day coming up on April 22, 2012, I really got to thinking about all the neat things that I have seen on Etsy that have to do with recycling, upcycling and repurposing. So that's what we're going to have an adventure in today -- Going Green!
To set the mood, let's 'Get Moody' for a moment with a song from The Moody Blues:

Now, let's go shopping!
Go Green Shop Number 1
Shop name: Stitches and Stones

I have loved this idea since I first saw it. Plus, you're not only getting the swiffer covers, you get a lot of other great items with this listing as well. Awesome!
Cute shop name too!

Go Green Shop Number 2
Shop name: Green Child Creations

I think most of us are aware of how many disposable diapers a baby can go through, so here's a great green alternative that's also a limited edition.

I like this shop name, too, because it reminds me of an old fairy tale and a band that I really like called The Green Children.
Go Green Shop Number 3
Shop name: Momma Mosaics

I think this is a very clever idea. What a beautiful way to turn trash into treasure!

Go Green Shop Number 4
Shop name: Frayed Fuzzies

This tote bag can really take you places! Or, at least, you can take it to a lot of places. Throw in all your essentials for the day, go grab a few groceries and maybe pick up something fun at the thrift store. This bag can comfortably hold it all, and the best part is -- it's upcycled from durable t-shirts.

Yet another cute shop name! Love it!
Go Green Shop Number 5
Shop name: Topaz Orange Buds

I love the motto 'No More Plastic Bags!' It's a great idea and, frankly, it'll save you money in the long run too! Beautiful and o-so-functional!

One last thing before I go -- I'd just like to say that we are all just human beings doing the best that we can. Let's all try to remember that when we see someone throw something down on the ground or in the park as I did today. Instead of getting furious I just decided that if I didn't want to see trash all over the park, I would get up off my own duff and pick it up. It was a really great feeling and a whole lot better than sitting there fuming over the actions of another human just a'walkin' on the face of this earth. ;-)
Lots of love to you all and I hope to see you back next week when we'll venture into the realm of, well, realms! That's right! It's going to be all things castles and kingdoms next week right here with Lesa Kay's Friday Faves!
Have a great weekend everyone, and take care out there!

I know. It's fun, isn't it? The great ideas people have come up with to help us all take steps towards a greener goal in life.
